Science-Adopt a Fish signature slips due on Monday. Fish will go home on Monday and Tuesday. Please send a container with a lid to transport fish home. Thanks.
Symphony concert fieldtrip on Tuesday. Talk to your child about proper concert etiquette. We will be discussing this at school too.
Math-Review packet. (Doyle only)
Wax Museum-Monday evening. Students shoudl arrive at 5:45. The museum will open at 6:00.

Happy Thursday!
Note-Please arrive at 5:45 Monday evening for the Wax Museum. This will give your child time to get into his/her costume. We are asking the parents to wait out in the hallway until the museum officially opens. We'll be available to assist the children in getting ready. Thank you:)

Guinea Pig Heaven Today in Science!
What fun. We had an exciting day in science with our mammal visitors. Maddie's adorable bunny named Sebastian visited as well as Cailyn, Julia, and Haley's guinea pigs; Snickers, Butterscotch and Cooper. After meeting them, I think everybody put a guinea pig or bunny on their wish list:)

Hump Day!
The science fiction/fantasy genre book and book talk are due today. We'll be meeting with the students to ensure that these are all complete. THe next genre will be mystery and we'll start these in December.
Language-We continue to work on our biographies. Today we taught the kids how to transfer their notes into paragraph formatting. Tomorrow we'll concentrate on the opener and conclusion of the speech. Let us know if you have any questions.

Happy Tuesday!
Historical Museum-
Tonight, a note is coming home with your child with dates when the Oregon Historical Museum will be available for costume check-out. In case it doesn't make it home, here are the details:
It will be open on November 16, 17, and 18 from 3:30-5:00. Please make an appointment with Mrs. Hansen to come and view and get fitted for a costume. Her number is: 438-2850. You don't have to use this resource if you have something that will work at home.

Note-The children have all selected the person that they will be studying for the Wax Museum. I have contacted the Oregon Historical Society and they are willing to allow the kids to rent costumes. I will be sending home a letter with the dates on it next week.
